Hey there! A bit on my absence, what we've been up to, and my plan for this page from Lent until Easter.
I've missed you. Here's why I've been gone and when I plan on coming back.
Well, hello there!
First off, my sincerest apologies for my abrupt and unannounced absence. It would take more space than I have here to explain what happened in the beginning of December to force such a falling out. I’ve been meaning to fill you in, my dear reader, only to be met with personal timing and capacity that never quite aligned.
For those who’ve reached out, thank you! For those who’ve gently reminded me of my duty to my readers, thank you also. I haven’t forgotten you or what this little space means and I haven’t forgotten the investment many of you make to be here. Know that my prayers have been there for you especially when my words couldn’t.
As to the more intimate details of my time away, I have discerned (and been advised spiritually) not to fully disclose all that yet.
What I can say is that life in God never is dull, never ceases to be full of the twists and turns known to many of us. These happenings are meant to refine, break down, rebuild, and restore the bodies and souls we have been given. These happenings are meant to peel everything away that is not God, Charity, or His will. And they often occur in the daily happenings that are normal (and sometimes not so normal) life.
Anyway, I’ll stop being cryptic. How about I let you know my plan here moving forward.
In that same discernment of what I will wait to share, I have decided that I will be pausing this little Substack until Easter time. As a result, your paid subscriptions will be paused as well. I do wish I could share more (as I wish I could’ve jumped on here sooner and not left you hanging) as these past 3 months can most definitely fill their own pages, but alas my soul and body need a bit more time before I can return to writing.
As to what we’ve been up to, that could fill volumes as well, but I will leave you with some of my favorite pictures from my beautiful baby sister’s wedding, half a country away.
Thank you for being here, and thanks for sticking with me as I stick with you on this narrow way. May your Lent be fruitful and your Easter celebrations everything your heart desires!
Until that much anticipated Easter time,
Kristine
(As for that beautiful family picture of 9, you’ll have to swing by my house to see everyone dolled up to the nines….) XO, Kristine
